Overshadowed by The Big Apple, the buzzing music scene in Western New York is often overlooked. While Buffalo’s Griselda Records and Westside Gunn helped put the region on the map earlier this year, the area’s emerging underground remains largely unheard. One of the most important artists helping push this movement forward is Syracuse’s Scorey.

On his latest track “Victim,” Scorey comes through with a melodic yet lyrical trap sound reminiscent of acts like Polo G. Produced by Trapman23, the song’s instrumental features a captivating piano and string progression that compliments Scorey’s emotional delivery, with lyrical content focused on his real life losses and pain. The Trigg directed visual features Scorey back in his neighborhood, paying respects to his late friend Zuly.
