Houston is easily one of the most populated cities in the country, and in recent years they have been applying loads of pressure when it comes to creative talent. The growing emergence of various artists has implemented a new wave of sound that has been ushered in the streets of Houston. Escaping the legendary 3rd Coast stereotypes, The Bayou City establishes a new flavor and image to the bring to the forefront. Establishing this new image for Houstonians to get familiar with, it’s a large class of younger artists who are implementing a new footing in the creative scene. Amongst the talent that’s emerging in this new lane, Alzo Lastrap made his presence known towards the last months of 2018.

Coming on the scene with his debut single, “Geeked”, the fashionable rising artist shows off a versatile single that can allow his artistry to grow as time progresses. In preparation for expanding his fanbase and dropping more material, Alzo has received love from the likes of 93.7 The Beat, Hip Hop Weekly, BET, Houston Style Magazine, and more. With this momentum in play, he's seems poised to become one of Houston’s X-Factors with his sound and image.

Following the release of his growing single, “Geeked”, Alzo comes back on the scene with his new and more aggressive piece of work, “Reminisce”. The single is more of a melodic trap influenced testimony that differs from the waviness that is found in “Geeked”. The variation in sound that he delivers shows what kind of growth that he can make in 2019, and this single is only one of the first steps of progression in his sound.
