North Houston rapper Lil Payne establishes his space in the city's scene with his release, "Earth Is My Turf"
Written by Greg Harris
The new Houston sound is one that’s very creative but also one that’s very diverse at the same time. It’s a nice balance of abstract yet intriguing material that’s been released that levels out with the new emerging street records that’s breaking out of The Bayou City. In the midst of the interesting artists that’s breaking in their own lane, North Houston’s own Lil Payne draws up together some of the most thorough catalogs that’s being released independently in Houston.
Coming off the heels of his project, “Life On The Run”, he’s applied the pressure with releasing fire and visuals to prep fans up for his newest release, “Earth Is My Turf”. Showing a strong level of consistency in his work, he’s certainly shown he’s a force within the city and moving at this pace will only get him in further places as time goes on.
