With the commercial success of Travis Scott’s Astroworld and Sauce Walka’s consistent outpouring of flavor, Houston’s diverse music scene is once again back in the national spotlight. Artists from all over the city have been seeing increased buzz with the added attention, and it’s a safe bet we’ll see more than a few underground acts get some shine in 2019.

From that underground comes Doc Strains, who relocated to Houston from Bryan, TX in 2016, and has been consistently putting out heat since his 2017 collaboration “3 Piece, No Sides” with Houston’s Lee Trelly.

“Big Body Benz” was the standout track off that project, and the psychedelic visual has both artists cruising thru the snow covered mountains around Denver, lighting up bars and an endless supply of Backwoods.
