The Psychedelic Express: Jimi Hendrix “Are You Experienced" 50 Year Anniversary at The Morrison Hotel

As much as we cover the archives and the latest news that’s happening in more urban genres, we don’t want to stray away from the foundation and essence of Rock N Roll. Being one of the core elements in the growth of music, Rock has found many stars in its path with the likes of McJagger, Iggy Pop, Alice Copper, and more. Undoubtedly in the same hierarchy, Jimi Hendrix paved the way for the modern rock stars of today and Morrison Hotel wanted to take a trip down memory lane with the psychedelic themed 50th Anniversary Party for “Are You Experienced?”. Morrison Hotel displayed Karl Ferris’ work on the group’s first album and gave light to the early days of Hendrix and his band.
